Wearable Electronics

    We are putting much endeavor to develop self-powered sensors and battery charging systems for wearable electronics. Firstly, the self-powered sensors, integrated with the electronic skin (e-skin) technology, can be operated without any energy storage systems to perform their own functions as a tactile sensor, a wireless communication system, a remote medical diagnostic system, and so on. Meanwhile, we are developing a wearable device charging system by harnessing biomechanical energy. To improve its charging ability, we are focusing on the material study to achieve an enhanced triboelectric performance.
